As Seen On

Hello! I am Chloe Jacqueline from CJVZHeartsYou.com. I am really excited to be here at RebeccaKelsey.com today! I am so lucky to have made a friend as sweet as she is! I, like Rebecca, love inspiring people and making others smile. I like to share special moments in my life, a bit of beauty, and things that make me smile. You can find out more about me here.

Everyone who knows and loves Rebecca, such as myself know that “kindness is the best accessory,” and I agree. I believe a little bit of kindness can go a long way.

It is easy to let a bad mood effect us, and mostly for good reason. However, a smile from someone else can turn the whole day around. What if you were to be the one to share that smile? Hold the door open? Help someone in need? Every act of kindness, no matter the size is important.

Being kind is not about the reward. It is not about the personal satisfaction, even though being kind to others does make us feel good, and it is not about the reaction of the other person. People are not always going to respond in the way you think they should, however you never know the effect you have had on their day.

The world can be a hard place, and maybe just sharing a smile might help someone feel just a little bit better. Know that you can make a difference, and it isn’t about the reward for yourself, but the difference you can make by just sharing a smile. Remember, no act of kindness goes unnoticed. Every bit of kindness changes the world, and makes it a better place.

Sharing Smiles, Making a difference, Changing the world

xoxo,
Chloe’ Jacqueline.

Edit: Here it is!

Kindness is the best accessory,

I was browsing Birchbox.com and stumbled upon their new makeup bag! I definitely didn’t need a makeup bag but when Chris volunteered to buy it for me I was happy as pie! Isn’t it so cute? It reminds me of a Birchbox post card. For a size comparison I took another shot of it next to my January Birchbox, that is shown below.

If you aren’t familiar, Birchbox is a monthly subscription service where for $10 a month you get deluxe samples sent to you in the mail based on a theme. It is really fun to try out new products without breaking the bank. Chris got me a year of Birchbox for Christmas this year.

The theme for this month’s box is Clarity.

Included in this month’s Birchbox is:
1. LARABAR Mini Bar, Chocolate Chip Brownie
2. Jouer Body Butter
3. BORGHESE Moisture Intensifier
4. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
5. stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye liner, Moray (full size)
6. Mini detox guide (how cute!)
7. Birchbox magnet

I thought the detox guide was really sweet. I actually follow the first one every night. I turn off my computer an hour and a half before bed and I put my phone across the room. It really helps me relax and get to sleep quicker.

I haven’t tried out everything from the box yet, as I just got it an hour ago, but here is my first impressions from what  I have tried so far. My favorite off the bat is the stila Smudge Stick. It had gold shimmers in the green that is very flattering. The LARABAR tasted nice but not amazing (I don’t think I would re-purchase it). I just tried the Jouer body butter on my elbows and it is surprisingly light weight with a very heavy gardenia smell. It brought me straight back to my child hood, when my Abuela had gardenias in her back yard.

Are you part of Birchbox? What did you get this month?

Edit to add:

Thank you Birchbox for sharing my post on Twitter!

I frequent a blog following site called BlogLovin’ that lets you follow your favorite blogs and discover new blogs in a user-friendly interface. Today I was browsing the “Popular” section and to my surprise in the “Beauty” section I saw me! The counter was a little off but on the right hand side it says “Up and Coming in Beauty” and me as number one!
Since I posted my giveaway a few days ago my Bloglovin’ subscriber count went from 37 to 77! I am flabbergasted. My recent Link Love post was also featured in the popular section.
Thank you for all of the support. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Kindness is the best accessory,

ElleandBlair.com

Remember when I entered a contest to be mark.’s Miss Glambitious 2011? Well, I was not a winner for week one. Honestly, I was upset at first. I know that the winner had a great video but I couldn’t help but feel disappointed. I originally wanted to give up and not continue with the contest (10 finalists will be picked, only one spot has been taken so far) but my fiance helped me realize that regret of not knowing what I could have accomplished if I kept going would haunt me.

For details on the contest in question, click here.

Giving up, no matter if it is a contest, a homework assignment, a diet, an exercise plan… no matter what, giving up should never be an option. Giving up is certainly not an aspect of someone with Glambition.

I intended to enter week two but I’ve had a lot of studying to do with midterms coming up it had to be temporarily put aside. I’ll do the best I possibly can to enter this weekend and if not for sure I will enter week three.

Now, on to exciting news.

Although I did not win week one, mark. did take notice. Today they posted on ElleandBlair.com with a post called You Glow, Girls!

Guess who was featured? Me! Not only that but also my friend Karina (Subscribe to her channel here) and a few other lovely girls that were mentioned because mark. really liked our videos for the week one challenge.

I was so shocked. Thank you to everyone that cheered me on and for the support you have shown on my channel.
