I’m flattered you want to know about me and my blog! Thank you. Hey, I’m Rebecca Kelsey Sampson! I started using my first and middle name online in middle school (hence the blog name) and it just stuck.
My personal goal with this blog is to document my daily activities as I try to live a fulfilling life. I want to help others find joy in their lives, whether it be because of your favorite foundation or a cool breeze. I enjoy learning about new topics or products and sharing them. So this blog has become a mismatch of beauty, lifestyle, personal inspirations, DIY projects, and vlogs from my everyday life. I love to share my personal thoughts and feelings so at times this blog becomes like a diary. I’ve come to realize I’m almost a niche blogger, by trying to live the best life I can and sharing it with you I’ve come to get to know some really cool people. Thank you for coming along for the ride!
Current series posts include The Rebecca and Chris Show (where my fiance and I put up a video of our weekly activities every Sunday), Blog O’ Yum recipe videos, DIY Friday, Saturday Link Love, and my Learning to Live Minimally resolution. My completed series’ so far are my 100+ Reasons to be Happy posts that you can catch up on.
As for me, I’m just a normal 23 year old girl that has a lot to share. I graduated college with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. I live with my fiance Chris (see our engagement story and follow our wedding updates here) and we are saving up for our first home (hopefully moving in 2013).
Through out my young life I went through a million dreams and possible careers. Little girl me wanted to be a singer, back-up dancer, hair stylist, or a fashion designer. From about second grade until junior year of high school I dreamed of being an artist. I got scared of an uncertain future, became “practical Becca”, and started pursuing nursing and then accounting when I joined university. I was miserable.
Then one day in the end of my junior year in college I started watching beauty gurus on YouTube. I became obsessed and watched easily over 20 videos a day. This went on for a few months before I finally worked up the courage to start making videos myself. I fell in love with the video making process and wanted to share as much as I could with my viewers, hence RebeccaKelsey.com was born in my senior year of college. I changed my major then to Marketing so I could learn how to better promote and “sell” my blog and I took a minor in Psychology…. Honestly, so I could take psychology classes that had to do with children! Motherhood is something I’m really looking forward to a few years down the road.

Out the window went “practical Becca” and what emerged was the girl you see today. I’m now working to fully sustain myself financially through this blog and as the social engagement manager at girl-karma. I feel so grateful that I am able to earn a living doing something I love rather then ending up in a job that makes me feel miserable.
I’ve also made a lot of life changes lately, like switching to being cruelty-free and taking up a love for running. I also started up a second blog called Blog O’ Yum that serves as a visual food diary.
