I needed a new mascara so I stopped my local CVS drugstore. I love my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara, it is my favorite mascara in the entire world (review here) but it is pretty expensive so I went to try a drugstore mascara before getting another tube. I originally intended to try something from Milani but there was no mascaras in that store. Isn’t that weird? I looked online and they have mascara but it wasn’t in the display.
So, I decided to try the newer brand Nuance by Salma Hayek. The verdict: It looks pretty but the formula doesn’t feel good. It feels very tacky and smells like plastic. I think I’m leaning more towards only using high end mascaras because I’ve noticed that the ingredients just feel better. You can get similar looks from drugstore mascaras but the mascaras that feel the healthiest on my lashes have all been high end. To end this review, Nuance did come off easily with my Burt’s Bees Sensitive Makeup Wipes. I’m strongly considering returning this mascara, for $15 it doesn’t measure up.

Have you tried anything else from the Nuance brand? How did you feel about it?
