I’ve been on a really big Burt’s Bees kick lately. I absolutely love their products and what they stand for… but sometimes I hit a dud. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Burt’s Bees Beeswax and Almond Milk hand cream.
My one line verdict: It is great for a night hand cream but not for an I-need-moisture-multiple-times-a-day hand cream.
Explanation: It has a weird semi-solid thick texture that provides a great deal of moisture but it also more difficult to use. If you have one of those small spatula’s made for cream it wouldn’t be a problem but I don’t have one. You basically need to wash your hands before you use it or else you could accidentally dirty the cream inside. I thought my hands were clean but then there would be specks of something in the cream that showed me I wasn’t as clean as I thought. Once you pick up the product, it becomes more pliable with the heat of your body. It gives an intense amount of moisture but leaves your hands slightly greasy (there is a noticeable sheen). The smell, however, is perfect. The almond scent lingers for up to half an hour. Overall, if you have a spatula to pick up the product, it makes a great cream to put on before bed but not a good recommend for daytime use.
