Saturday Link Love: How-To Make Deodorant

September 8, 2012

in Beauty, DIY

Every Saturday I share my favorite links from the week. Do you want a chance to be featured? Email your best articles or videos to misc@rebeccakelsey.com with “Link Love” in the title and I’ll bookmark the ones I like to feature in a future post!

I’ve been having a horrible time finding male body products that aren’t tested on animals and that still smell very cologne like. Chris loves the smell of Axe and Old Spice products and I can’t find anything else like them! Do you guys have any suggestions? I found this tutorial above that shows how you can make deodorant. Chris is very hesitant that it will turn out good (he isn’t much of a DIYer) but I feel hopeful and plan on trying it out soon.

What were your favorite links this week?

Mix the baking soda, petroleum jelly and talcum powder.Heat the mixture in a double boiler, over low heat.Stir the mixture while it is heating. You will know it is finished when a smooth cream starts to form.Put the cream in a small container with a very tight lid.

I think that mitchum are cruelty free, my boyfriend and I love the antiperspirant, because it really helps with sweating.
