In February I was given a Conscious Box to review and boy did I love it. If you aren’t aware, Conscious Box is a subscription service where you receive food and products from eco-friendly and cruelty-free brands. Many of the items are also vegetarian or vegan. It’s a great way to find new socially responsible brands to support, something I’m really trying to do more of. This box is $12 a month with $5 shipping, so at $17 it’s a little more pricey then my other subscriptions but I enjoyed my first box so much I decided to join.
So here is my first box as an actual subscriber! How fun!

I was a little hesitant when I saw the amount of drink based products in this box. Honestly, I’m tired of tea. I have a box full of tea. I’ve started to use them as hair rinses (with interesting results) since I have so many of them. More on that later. I’ve also very wary of the Mayesa chocolate drink. Although I’m a huge chocolate lover, I’ve never really liked chocolate drinks, milkshakes, ice cream, and other varieties. I’ll for sure try out the Natural Vitality vitamin drink later today though. We’ll see about the rest. Not pictured is the Flush Me detox pills, which my Mom immediately snatched!

I was most excited by these two items. The Bambooee towel feels so soft that I actually used it to wipe my face after washing it this morning. The info card says this towel will last a week and a half and can be washed with laundry! Next to it is a Wembe natural loofa soap. Isn’t it strange looking? I used it in my shower last night. I don’t agree with it being for all skin types as shown on the box. I have very sensitive skin and this soap felt like it was scratching me. However, it was perfect to exfoliate my feet. After my shower I tried the Better Life moisturizer, it was nice and thick.
