Life After High School

April 10, 2012

in My Journal

My graduation day in 2008.

When I was in high school, I thought I was hot stuff. I thought I would turn 18 and immediately have my own apartment, fun job, and a husband. Boy, do things not go as planned.

Since high school, I’ve gone through quite a few transformations. I was going to be an artist, then a nurse, an accountant, marketer, and now a professional blogger? Not quite sure.

Money stress is definitely getting to me. I’m trying so hard to find myself but feel the need to commit to a profession that is more lucrative. Frankly, I’m scared. I’m a chicken.

This summer I will be graduating college. What?! How did it all go by so fast. I need more time.

How are you feeling? Have you made some crazy changes? Trying to work from home as your own boss? I’d love to know what you are thinking.

Kindness is the best accessory,

I’m certainly enjoying it. I’ve had so many amazing experiences. It’s just funny how nothing is ever what you imagined. Thank you for reading and commenting!

I graduated in ’10, went to a university right away for social work and was absolutely miserable being away from home! Now I’m at a tech school for occupational therapy and moved back in with my parents/boyfriend and I’m so happy. Its funny, I always thought I’d be moving out on my own right after high school but it turns out I love staying at home right now. I’m still very indecisive about my major though! :)

Oh girl! I know exactly what you are talking about! When I met Robert my first year of university I thought my life was set! We would be married by now I would be a teacher he would be doing something in the medical field and BAM life! However, now his plans have changed, I am going back to school with lots of possibilities in mind!

This however was not easy for me to comes to terms with! I am a planner and having everything change was hard for me, but now I am just enjoying everyday and dreaming all kinds of big dreams! I know you are too! Even if things didn’t follow your plans you have done, and will do some awesome things! I know it! =)

We absolutely love your blog and find the majority of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content for yourself? I wouldn’t mind creating a post or elaborating on many of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome blog!
