On The Go First Impressions: Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream

Sooo… I was bad and bought something when I was running errands. I didn’t need it, but I wanted it! Horrible, I know. But sometimes you need a break from being frugal!

Anyway, I purchased the Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream while I was out running a quick errand. BB Cream generally stands for Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm. BB Creams are like moisturizers that have a lot of extra beneficial skin properties as well as pigment. Sometimes they are pigmented enough to be used like a foundation and other times like a tinted moisturizer, it depends on the brand.

I decided I would film a quick on the go video showing my first thoughts…. while I was still in the car. Silly idea, I know, but it was fun! I hope you enjoyed it.

It did seem to stick onto my dry patches and then make non-dry areas look oily. When I got home I still thought it was oily looking but my skin was definitely brighter and more even as the description states. The first review I saw of this product was from pleasanppl, watch her review here.

I think if I apply it using a damp sponge (I mentioned the Beauty Blender a few times but I was actually talking about the Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge) it wont look cakey so I’ll try that next time. Also, setting it with a powder should get rid of the shine.

I’m going to experiment with it more and report back at another time. I love the smell and consistency so I hope I can make this work well for me, it has a lot of potential.

The Garnier BB Cream can be purchased for $11.99 at Target (It was $12.99 at CVS).
